Leonine volume 44, 1 available for purchase

Thanks to the keen eye of Santiago Argüello we learn that the long-awaited volume 44, 1 of the Leonine edition, containing the individual sermons of St. Thomas, is now available for purchase on the website of the Les Éditions de cerf. There are two versions:

  1. Hardbound (link)
  2. Softbound (link)

Of course the books are expensive for individuals to purchase, but at 620 pages this volume will without doubt provide a wealth of knowledge about the world of medieval sermons and the background for Thomas's understanding and use of scripture. At the very least it would be great to have one's library try to pick up a copy.

The publication of these sermons is a final testament to the efforts of Fr. Louis-Jacques Bataillon, OP, who lived to see the many iterations of this volume's page-proofs, but not its final publication.
